PROCLAMATION NO. 2378

DECLARING THE LAST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER, 1984, AS FRUIT TREE CROP WEEK

WHEREAS, the development of the fruit tree industry demands vigorous support of the government and the private sectors; cd

WHEREAS, there is a need to strengthen and accelerate the current efforts in fruit tree technology development; and

WHEREAS, a continuing awareness and appreciation is only fitting and proper in the furtherance of the scientific advancement on fruit tree industry focused to national economic development;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the last week of September, 1984, as "Fruit Tree Crop Week", and enjoin all public and private offices, institutions and instrumentalities thereof to encourage and sanction the attendance and participation of all personnel concerned to the fruit tree week seminars and conferences on the latest directions in fruit production, marketing and policies envisioned for the advancement of the fruit tree industry in our country.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
