DECLARING MONDAY, MAY 10, 2010 AS SPECIAL PUBLIC (NON-WORKING) HOLIDAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY

WHEREAS, the national and local elections shall be held on Monday, May 10, 2010; aCHDAE

WHEREAS, Monday, May 10, 2010, should be declared a special public (non-working) holiday to give the people the fullest opportunity to participate in the said elections.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Monday, May 10, 2010, as special public (non-working) holiday throughout the country.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
