PROCLAMATION NO. 1357
DECLARING MONDAY, 09 MAY 2022, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) HOLIDAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY
WHEREAS, the National and Local Elections shall be held on Monday, 09 May 2022;
WHEREAS, there is a need to declare Monday, 09 May 2022, a special (non-working) holiday to enable the people to properly exercise their right to vote, subject to the public health measures of the national government;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, 09 May 2022, a special (non-working) holiday throughout the country for the National and Local Elections.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 5th day of May, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty-Two.
