PROCLAMATION NO. 2156

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JANUARY 21 TO 31, 1982, AS "NATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY WEEK"

WHEREAS, photography plays a vital role in the noble task of nation-building;

WHEREAS, photography in the Philippines has faithfully recorded in photos the milestones in the life of the Filipino and the nation; cdt

WHEREAS, it is important to draw the attention of citizens about the contribution of photography to national development;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from January 21 to 31, 1982, and every year thereafter as "National Photography Week" under the auspices of the Professional Photographers Association of the Philippines (PPAP) Incorporated.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
