PROCLAMATION NO. 35
DECLARING FRIDAY, 2 SEPTEMBER 2016, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF IFUGAO
WHEREAS, on Friday, 2 September 2016, the Province of Ifugao marks its Victory Day in commemoration of the surrender of General Tomoyuki Yamashita of the Japanese Imperial Army to combined Filipino and American troops in Kiangan, Ifugao Province;
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Ifugao be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare Friday, 2 September 2016, as a special (non-working) day in the Province of Ifugao.
