DECLARING FRIDAY, AUGUST 30, 1985, AS "MARCELO H. DEL PILAR DAY", IN THE PROVINCE OF BULACAN
WHEREAS, Marcelo H. del Pilar, our hero and patriot who used the nom de plume of "Plaridel" in his struggles in Spain to obtain reforms for the Philippines during the Spanish regime, was born in Bulacan, Bulacan, on August 30, 1850; and
WHEREAS, the people of the Province of Bulacan should be given full opportunity to celebrate Plaridel's birthday with fitting ceremonies; casia
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, August 30, 1985, as "Marcelo H. del Pilar Day" in the Province of Bulacan. The day, however, shall be a special non-working public holiday.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
