Proclamation No. 2205, issued on June 5, 1982, by President Ferdinand E. Marcos, designates approximately 3,604 hectares of public land in La Paz and Loreto, Agusan del Sur, as a civil reservation for the Manobo people. This reservation is subject to existing private rights and mandates that the utilization of timber and forest products comply with relevant regulations. Excluded from this proclamation are specified strips of land along public trails and streams. A development plan for the area must be submitted within one year, and if the reservation is not developed within five years, it will revert to its original status as timberland.

PROCLAMATION NO. 2205

DECLARING AS A MANOBO CIVIL RESERVATION CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF LA PAZ AND LORETO, PROVINCE OF AGUSAN DEL SUR, ISLAND OF MINDANAO

Upon the recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby set aside as a civil reservation for the Manobos, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to the conditions that the utilization of timber and other forest products found therein shall be subject to Forest Internal Revenue Laws and Regulations, the parcels of land of the public domain containing an approximate area of Three Thousand Six Hundred Four (3,604) hectares, situated in the Sitios of Bagnot and Hanopuyan, Municipalities of La Paz and Loreto, Province of Agusan del Sur, Island of Mindanao, as shown and described on the attached BFD Map CR-236.

There are excluded from the operation of this proclamation of a strip of 15 meters in width on each side of any public trail therein used as outlet for timber and other forest products, and a strip of 20 meters in width from the highest bank on each side of any stream bank protection. cd i

A development plan of the reservation shall be submitted within one year from the approval of this proclamation.

In the event this reservation is not developed within five (5) years from the approval of the proclamation, the area covered thereby shall be reverted back to its former status as timberland.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
