PROCLAMATION NO. 79
DECLARING MONDAY, 31 OCTOBER 2022, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY
WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 1236 dated 29 October 2021 declared 01 November 2022 (All Saint's Day), Tuesday, as a Special (Non-Working) Day throughout the country; and
WHEREAS, the declaration of 31 October 2022, falling on a Monday, as Special (Non-Working) Day will strengthen family ties and promote domestic tourism.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution as President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Monday, 31 October 2022, as a Special (Non-Working) Day throughout the country.
The Department of Labor and Employment is hereby directed to issue the appropriate circular to implement this Proclamation for the private sector.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 18th day of October, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty-Two.
