PROCLAMATION NO. 1231
DECLARING THURSDAY, 28 OCTOBER 2021, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DINGLE, PROVINCE OF ILOILO
WHEREAS, the First Battle Cry of Revolution against Spain in the Province of Iloilo and the Island of Panay, known as the "Cry of Lincud," happened on 28 October 1898 in Barrio Lincud, Dingle, Iloilo;
WHEREAS, on 28 October 2021, Thursday, the Municipality of Dingle, Province of Iloilo, will mark the commemoration of the "Cry of Lincud"; and
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Dingle be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to community quarantine, social distancing, and other public health measures;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare Thursday, 28 October 2021, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Dingle, Province of Iloilo.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 18th day of October, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty-One.
