PROCLAMATION NO. 1108
DECLARING FRIDAY, 20 AUGUST 2021, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF DAVAO
WHEREAS, the City of Davao observes the celebration of the Kadayawan Festival in the month of August;
WHEREAS, to enable the people of the City of Davao to celebrate the occasion, the Sangguniang Panlungsod requested that 20 August 2021, Friday, be declared a special (non-working) day in celebration of its Indigenous Peoples Day in relation to the Kadayawan Festival; and
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Davao be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to community quarantine, social distancing, and other public health measures;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare 20 August 2021, Friday, a special (non-working) day in the City of Davao.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
