PROCLAMATION NO. 551
DECLARING 17 AUGUST 2018 (FRIDAY) AND 20 AUGUST 2018 (MONDAY) SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAYS IN THE CITY OF DAVAO
WHEREAS, the City of Davao observes the week-long celebration of the Kadayawan Festival in the month of August;
WHEREAS to enable the people of the City of Davao to celebrate the occasion, the Sangguniang Panlungsod requested that 17 August 2018 (Friday) and 20 August 2018 (Monday) be declared special (non-working) days in celebration of the Indigenous People's Day and the Araw ng Pasasalamat, respectively, in relation to the Kadayawan Festival; and
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Davao be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare 17 August 2018 (Friday) and 20 August 2018 (Monday) special (non-working) days in the City of Davao.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
