PROCLAMATION NO. 456
DECLARING SATURDAY, 05 MAY 2018, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF KAPANGAN, PROVINCE OF BENGUET
WHEREAS, on Saturday, 05 May 2018, the Municipality of Kapangan, Benguet, marks the commemoration of the birth anniversary of Governor Bado Dangwa;
WHEREAS, Bado Dangwa was born in Kapangan, Benguet on 05 May 1905, served as First Lieutenant and Major in the Philippine Army during the Second World War, and as governor of Benguet from 1953 to 1963;
WHEREAS, Bado Dangwa focused his crusade against corruption, encouraged education through scholarships, and reinforced the identity of the indigenous people of Benguet; and
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Kapangan, Benguet, be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO R. DUTERTE, do hereby declare Saturday, 05 May 2018, as a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Kapangan, Province of Benguet.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
