PROCLAMATION NO. 1053
DECLARING FRIDAY, 04 DECEMBER 2020, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF CEBU
WHEREAS, on 04 December 2020, Friday, the Province of Cebu will mark the celebration of the birth anniversary of Governor Sergio Osmeña Jr.;
WHEREAS, Governor Osmeña Jr. served as Governor of Cebu Province from 1951 to 1959; as Mayor of Cebu City from 1959 to 1963; and was elected as senator from 1965 to 1971; and
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Cebu be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to community quarantine, social distancing, and other public health measures;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare Friday, 04 December 2020, a special (non-working) day in the Province of Cebu.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 18th day of November, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty.
