PROCLAMATION NO. 51
DECLARING SATURDAY, 03 SEPTEMBER 2022, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CALACA, PROVINCE OF BATANGAS
WHEREAS, Republic Act (RA) No. 11544 dated 26 May 2021 provides for the conversion of the Municipality of Calaca in the Province of Batangas into a Component City to be known as the City of Calaca;
WHEREAS, pursuant to RA No. 11544, the Commission on Elections in Resolution No. 10826 dated 03 August 2022, scheduled the conduct of the plebiscite to ratify the conversion on 03 September 2022 (Saturday);
WHEREAS, in order to give the people of the Municipality of Calaca the opportunity to actively and fully participate in the plebiscite and exercise their right to vote, it is but fitting and proper to declare 03 September 2022 a special (non-working) day, subject to the public health measures of the national government;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, VICTOR D. RODRIGUEZ, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Saturday, 03 September 2022, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Calaca, Province of Batangas.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 2nd day of September, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty-Two.
