Declaration of March 27 as 'Araw ng San Juan'
Republic Act No. 7669, enacted on January 10, 1994, designates March 27 of each year as a special non-working public holiday in San Juan. This day, known as "Araw ng San Juan," commemorates the anniversary of San Juan's formation as an independent municipality under Philippine Commission Act No. 1625. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7669
AN ACT DECLARING MARCH TWENTY-SEVEN OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL NON-WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN JUAN TO COMMEMORATE THE ANNIVERSARY AND FORMATION OF SAN JUAN AS AN INDEPENDENT MUNICIPALITY BY VIRTUE OF PHILIPPINE COMMISSION ACT NO. 1625
SECTION 1. March Twenty-seven of every year is hereby declared a special non-working public holiday in the Municipality of San Juan, to be known as "Araw ng San Juan," to commemorate the anniversary and formation of San Juan as an independent municipality by virtue of Philippine Commission Act No. 1625.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
