Creation of the Barrios of Baay Weste, Baay Centro and Baay Norte in Batac, Ilocos Norte
Republic Act No. 6561, approved on September 30, 1972, establishes three new barrios—Baay Weste, Baay Centro, and Baay Norte—within the Municipality of Batac, Province of Ilocos Norte, by dividing the existing barrio of Baay. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6561
AN ACT CREATING CERTAIN BARRIOS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BATAC, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE
SECTION 1. The barrio of Baay in the Municipality of Batac, Province of Ilocos Norte, is hereby divided into three (3) distinct and separate barrios, to wit:
(a) The western portion of the barrio of Baay, Municipality of Batac, Province of Ilocos Norte, is hereby separated from said barrio, and constituted into a distinct and independent barrio of said municipality, to be known as the barrio of Baay Weste; aisa dc
(b) The central portion of the barrio of Baay, Municipality of Batac, Province of Ilocos Norte, is hereby separated from said barrio, and constituted into a distinct and independent barrio of said municipality, to be known as the barrio of Baay Centro; and
(c) The northern portion of the barrio of Baay, Municipality of Batac, Province of Ilocos Norte, is hereby separated from the said barrio, and constituted into a distinct and independent barrio of said municipality, to be known as the barrio of Baay Norte.
SECTION 2. The corporate existence of the new barrios shall commence when the first barrio officials shall have been elected in an election to be held simultaneously with the next regular election after the approval of this Act under the supervision of the Commission on Elections and shall have qualified. aisa dc
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
