Creation of Tagoloan, Lanao del Norte
Republic Act No. 5822, enacted on June 21, 1969, establishes the Municipality of Tagoloan in Lanao del Norte by separating several barrios from the Municipality of Baloi. The new municipality will have its seat of government in Barrio Darimbang. The first local officials, including the mayor and councilors, are set to be elected during the general elections scheduled for November 1969. The act took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on February 2, 1970.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5822
AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAGOLOAN IN THE PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL NORTE
SECTION 1. Barrios Kiasar, Darimbang, Dimayon, Inagongan, Malibato, Dalamas, and Panalawan, all of the Municipality of Baloi, Province of Lanao del Norte, are separated from said municipality and constituted into a distinct and independent municipality, to be known as the Municipality of Tagoloan, same province. The seat of government of the new municipality shall be in the poblacion of Barrio Darimbang.
SECTION 2. The first mayor, vice-mayor and councilors of the new municipality shall be elected in the next general elections in November 1969.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
