Construction of a National Highway from Tagoloan, Lanao del Norte to Talakag, Bukidnon, Iligan City, Marawi City and Kapai, Lanao del Sur, to be Known as the Muslim-Christian Unity Highway
Republic Act No. 11602 provides for the construction of the Muslim-Christian Unity Highway, which will connect the Lanao del Norte Interior Circumferential Road in Tagoloan to Talakag, Bukidnon, with crossroad connections to Iligan City and Marawi City. The project will be overseen by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), which will conduct a feasibility study and detailed engineering. Funding for the highway's construction will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act (GAA). The law takes effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11602
AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NATIONAL HIGHWAY FROM LANAO DEL NORTE INTERIOR CIRCUMFERENTIAL ROAD IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAGOLOAN, PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL NORTE TO THE MUNICIPALITY OF TALAKAG, PROVINCE OF BUKIDNON, WITH A CROSSROAD AT BARANGAY MALIMBATO, MUNICIPALITY OF TAGOLOAN, PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL NORTE AND CONNECTING ROADS TO THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY IN ILIGAN CITY THROUGH BARANGAY PUGAAN, ILIGAN CITY AND TO THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY IN MARAWI CITY THROUGH THE MUNICIPALITY OF KAPAI, PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL SUR, TO BE KNOWN AS THE MUSLIM-CHRISTIAN UNITY HIGHWAY AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. There shall be constructed, under the supervision of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), a national highway from the Lanao del Norte Interior Circumferential Road in the Municipality of Tagoloan, Province of Lanao del Norte to the Municipality of Talakag, Province of Bukidnon, with a crossroad at Barangay Malimbato, Municipality of Tagoloan, Province of Lanao del Norte and connecting roads to the national highway in Iligan City through Barangay Pugaan, Iligan City and to the national highway in Marawi City through the Municipality of Kapai, Province of Lanao del Sur. The aforesaid stretch of road shall be known as the Muslim-Christian Unity Highway.
SECTION 2. The amount necessary to defray the cost of undertaking and completing the feasibility study and detailed engineering for this project, and other activities related thereto shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act (GAA). Thereafter, the Secretary of the DPWH shall include in the Department's program the construction of the Muslim-Christian Unity Highway, the funding of which shall be included in the annual GAA.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
