Creation of Municipality of Batarasa, Palawan
Republic Act No. 3425, enacted on June 18, 1961, establishes the Municipality of Batarasa in the Province of Palawan. This new municipality is formed by separating specific barrios from the Municipality of Brooke's Point, which include Inogbong, Marangas, and others. The seat of government for Batarasa will be located in the barrio of Marangas. The Act will take effect following the election of new municipal officials during the local elections in November 1963.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3425
AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF BATARASA IN THE PROVINCE OF PALAWAN
SECTION 1. The barrios of Inogbong, Marangas, Bonobono, Malihod, Bulalakaw, Tarusan, Iwahig, Iganigang, Sarong, Akayan, Rio Tuba, Sumbiling, Sapa, Malitub, Puring, Buliluyan and Tahod in the Municipality of Brooke's Point, Province of Palawan, are separated from said municipality and constituted into a distinct and independent municipality, to be known as the Municipality of Batarasa, same province. The seat of government of the new municipality shall be in the present site of the barrio of Marangas.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon the election of the new municipal officials in the general elections for local officials in November of nineteen hundred and sixty-three.
