Creation of Certain Barrios in Sogod, Leyte
Republic Act No. 2810, enacted on June 19, 1960, establishes new barrios within the Municipality of Sogod, Leyte. It converts several sitios into three distinct barrios: Barrio Kauswagan (comprising Kantabuan, Baycasili, Mamingaw, Tagabaca, and Kampuwa), Barrio Malinaw (from Sitio Ilo), and Barrio San Juan (from Hubasan, Agta, Manduduknay, Kabas-an, and Cabadbaran). The Act took effect immediately upon approval and was published in the Official Gazette on February 13, 1961.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2810
AN ACT CREATING CERTAIN BARRIOS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SOGOD, PROVINCE OF LEYTE
SECTION 1. The following sitios in the Municipality of Sogod, Province of Leyte, are hereby converted or constituted into barrios:
a. Sitios Kantabuan, Baycasili, Mamingaw, Tagabaca and Kampuwa, into a barrio to be named Barrio Kauswagan;
b. Sitio Ilo, into a barrio to be named Barrio Malinaw; and
c. Sitios Hubasan, Agta, Manduduknay, Kabas-an and Cabadbaran, into a barrio to be named Barrio San Juan. cd
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
Enacted without Executive approval, June 19, 1960.
