Creation of Certain Barrios in Certain Municipalities of Rizal
Republic Act No. 2601, enacted on June 21, 1959, establishes new barrios in the Province of Rizal, Philippines. It creates the barrio of Caniogan in the Municipality of Morong and converts the sitios of Barangka, Parang, and Nangka into separate barrios in the Municipality of Marikina. Additionally, it designates the sitio of Manggahan as a barrio in the Municipality of Pasig. The Act took effect immediately upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on October 5, 1959.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2601
AN ACT CREATING BARRIOS IN CERTAIN MUNICIPALITIES OF THE PROVINCE OF RIZAL
SECTION 1. The sitios of Caniogan, Calero and Lunang in the Municipality of Morong, Province of Rizal, are constituted into a distinct and independent barrio of said municipality to be known as the barrio of Caniogan.
SECTION 2. The sitios of Barangka, Parang and Nangka in the Municipality of Marikina, same province, are converted into barrios of the said municipality to be known as the barrios of Barangka, Parang and Nangka, respectively.
SECTION 3. The sitio of Manggahan in the Municipality of Pasig, same province, is converted into a barrio of said municipality to be known as the barrio of Manggahan.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
