Creation of Barrio Kalayaan in Mexico, Pampanga
Republic Act No. 2897, enacted on June 19, 1960, establishes the barrio of Kalayaan in the Municipality of Mexico, Province of Pampanga. This new barrio is formed by separating the sitio of Sebitanan from Panipuan and the sitio of Divisoria from San Vicente. The act took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on March 27, 1961. It was enacted without Executive approval.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2897
AN ACT CREATING THE BARRIO OF KALAYAAN IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MEXICO, PROVINCE OF PAMPANGA
SECTION 1. The sitio of Sebitanan is separated from the barrio of Panipuan, and the sitio of Divisoria is separated from the barrio of San Vicente, in the Municipality of Mexico, Province of Pampanga, and are constituted into a distinct and independent barrio of said municipality to be known as the barrio of Kalayaan. cd
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
