June 21, 1969
REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5645
AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF ALAMADA IN THE PROVINCE OF COTABATO
SECTION 1. The barrios of Kitakubong, Pacao, Polayagan, Camansi, Mapurok, Macabasa, Pigcawaran, Rangayan, Dado, Guiling, Bao, Malitubog, and Paruayan in the Municipality of Libungan, and the sitios of Marakabak, Pidatan, Dimampao, and Kurope in the Municipality of Carmen, all in the Province of Cotabato, are separated from said municipalities and constituted into a distinct and independent municipality, to be known as the Municipality of Alamada. The seat of government of the new municipality shall be in the present site of the barrio of Kitakubong, same province.
The Municipality of Alamada shall be bounded as follows:
"The point of origin should be the common western corner monument of Lot No. 161 and Lot No. 159, Pls-357, along the Libungan-Edcor road; thence due East until it reaches the left bank of Malitubog River; thence northerly, northeasterly and northwesterly following Malitubog River upstream until it reaches or intersects the Cotabato-Lanao del Sur boundary line; thence westerly, northwesterly and southwesterly following the Cotabato-Lanao del Sur boundary until it reaches the common boundary corner of the mother Municipality of Libungan and the Municipality of Buldon, which is at the tip or peak of the Latukan Volcano; thence southwesterly and southeasterly following the boundary line of the mother Municipality of Libungan until it reaches the common corner monument of the three municipalities namely: Buldon, Pigcawayan, and the mother Municipality of Libungan prolonging the same until it reaches a point 15 kilometers South; thence due East across the Akir-Akir Mountain until it reaches the point of origin."
SECTION 2. The first mayor, vice-mayor, and councilors of the new municipality shall be elected in a special elections to coincide with the presidential elections in November of nineteen hundred and sixty-nine. aisa dc
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
