Creating a LEDAC Task Force To Review Collection Systems of BIR and BOC

MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 433
CREATING A TASK FORCE UNDER THE LEGISLATIVE-EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COUNCIL (LEDAC) TO CONDUCT A THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE COLLECTION SYSTEMS OF THE BUREAU OF INTERNAL REVENUE (BIR) AND THE BUREAU OF CUSTOMS (BOC)
In view of the Joint Resolutions filed in the Senate and the House of Representatives regarding the collection and payment of taxes in the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the Bureau of Customs (BOC), a Task Force on BIR and BOC collection systems is hereby created under the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) to be composed of the following:

The Task Force is mandated to:
a. Undertake review of the collection systems of BIR and BOC;
b. Conduct meetings, consultations, and dialogues for the purpose of obtaining inputs on the collection systems of the aforesaid agencies; and
c. Submit reports and recommendations on how to make BIR and BOC collection systems efficient, convenient and secure.
The Task Force is hereby directed to convene immediately and submit its recommendations to the Office of the President, through the Office of the Executive Secretary, not later than 30 June 1997.
This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
