CREATING A COMMITTEE TO COORDINATE OFFICIAL ACTS AND OBSERVANCES IN CONNECTION WITH THE FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE LATE CORAZON C. AQUINO, FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES
WHEREAS, Corazon C. Aquino, former President of the Philippines, died on August 1, 2009, to the deep sorrow and anguish of the Filipino people;
WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that appropriate official acts and observances be carried out in connection with the funeral arrangements for the former President, commensurate with the people's love and respect for her;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby create a Committee on the Funeral of the Late President Corazon C. Aquino, composed of the following officials or their duly-designated acting representatives: EITcaD
