Courts to Furnish the Department of Foreign Affairs Hold Departure Orders
On September 9, 1996, Administrative Supervision of Courts Circular No. 62-96 was issued, directing all Philippine courts to promptly communicate their Hold Departure Orders to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). Judges are required to provide a list of all active or unrevoked Hold Departure Orders within 48 hours of receipt of the circular. Additionally, any future Hold Departure Orders must be reported to the DFA within 24 hours of issuance. This measure aims to enhance the enforcement of court orders related to departure restrictions.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISION OF COURTS CIRCULAR NO. 62-96

To ensure that the court's HOLD DEPARTURE ORDERS are carried out effectively as embodied in Circular No. 38-94 dated June 6, 1994, all judges are hereby directed to furnish the DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS the prepared list of all active and/or unrevoked HOLD DEPARTURE ORDERS AND/OR DECISIONS within 48 hours from receipt hereof, copy furnished this Office.
Furthermore, all HOLD DEPARTURE ORDERS AND/OR DECISIONS to be hereinafter issued by said courts should be furnished the DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS within 24 hours from the issuance thereof.
