Courts to Furnish the Department of Foreign Affairs Hold Departure Orders
OCA Circular No. 62-96, issued on September 9, 1996, mandates that all judges from various courts in the Philippines must promptly submit a list of active and unrevoked Hold Departure Orders (HDOs) to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). Judges are required to provide this list within 48 hours of receipt and must also notify the DFA within 24 hours of issuing any new HDOs. This directive aims to enhance the enforcement of HDOs as outlined in a previous circular from 1994. The initiative is overseen by the Acting Court Administrator, Reynaldo L. Suarez.
