Republic Act No. 9868, enacted on December 20, 2009, converts the Datu Lipus Makapandong Community High School in Barangay Poblacion, Municipality of Rosario, Agusan del Sur, into a national high school, named Datu Lipus Makapandong National High School. The Act mandates the transfer of all personnel, assets, liabilities, and records from the community high school to the newly established national high school. It also requires the Secretary of Education to include funding for the school in the annual General Appropriations Act and to issue necessary regulations for implementation. The law will take effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9868

AN ACT CONVERTING THE DATU LIPUS MAKAPANDONG COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY POBLACION, MUNICIPALITY OF ROSARIO, PROVINCE OF AGUSAN DEL SUR INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS DATU LIPUS MAKAPANDONG NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. Conversion into a National High School. — The Datu Lipus Makapandong Community High School in Barangay Poblacion, Municipality of Rosario, Province of Agusan del Sur is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as Datu Lipus Makapandong National High School. DHIcET

SECTION 2. Transfer of Assets and Liabilities. — All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Datu Lipus Makapandong Community High School are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Datu Lipus Makapandong National High School.

SECTION 3. Appropriations. — The Secretary of Education shall immediately include in the Department's program the operationalization of the Datu Lipus Makapandong National High School, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 4. Implementation. — The Secretary of Education shall issue rules and regulations that may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.

SECTION 5. Effectivity. — This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
