Republic Act No. 561, approved on June 17, 1950, converts the Tolong High School in Sta. Catalina, Negros Oriental, into a national rural school known as the Negros Oriental Rural School, modeled after the Central Luzon Agricultural School. The Act allocates an initial budget of one hundred thousand pesos from the National Treasury for the school's operation and maintenance for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1951. Subsequent funding for the school will be included in future General Appropriation Acts. The Act takes effect immediately upon approval and was published in the Official Gazette.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 561

AN ACT TO CONVERT THE TOLONG HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF STA. CATALINA, PROVINCE OF NEGROS ORIENTAL, TO A NATIONAL RURAL SCHOOL

SECTION 1. The Tolong High School in the municipality of Sta. Catalina, Province of Negros Oriental, is converted to a national rural school to be known as the Negros Oriental Rural School. It shall be of the Central Luzon Agricultural School type.

SECTION 2. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the said school for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred fifty-one. Thereafter, the necessary sum for said purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
