Conversion of the Subdistrict Engineering Office in Dimasalang, Masbate into a Regular District Engineering Office
Republic Act No. 9222, enacted on August 8, 2003, converts the Subdistrict Engineering Office in Dimasalang, Masbate, into a regular district engineering office named the "2nd District Engineering Office" under the Department of Public Works and Highways. This office will serve the municipalities of the 3rd Congressional District of Masbate, including Pio V. Corpus, Cataingan, and others. The Secretary of the Department is mandated to ensure funding for the office's operations in the subsequent year after the law's enactment. The Act took effect immediately upon its approval.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE SUBDISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS, LOCATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DIMASALANG, 3RD CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT OF THE PROVINCE OF MASBATE INTO A REGULAR DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE TO BE KNOWN AS 2ND DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Subdistrict Engineering Office in the Municipality of Dimasalang, 3rd Congressional District, Province of Masbate is hereby converted into a regular district engineering office to be known as "2nd District Engineering Office, Department of Public Works and Highways." TIHCcA
SECTION 2. The municipalities comprising the 3rd Congressional District, Province of Masbate, namely: Pio V. Corpus, Cataingan, Uson, Placer, Palanas, Cawayan, Dimasalang and Esperanza are constituted as areas under the 2nd District Engineering Office in the 3rd Congressional District, Province of Masbate.
SECTION 3. The Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways shall include in its program the funding requirements for the operationalization of the Masbate 2nd District Engineering Office in the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
