Batas Pambansa Blg. 429, enacted on June 10, 1983, converts the Tarangnan Municipal High School in Samar into a national high school, officially named Tarangnan National High School. The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports is tasked with overseeing the conversion and operation of the school. An initial funding of one hundred thousand pesos is allocated from existing appropriations for new national high schools, with additional financial support to be incorporated into the annual budget. The law takes effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on April 2, 1984.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE TARANGNAN MUNICIPAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TARANGNAN, PROVINCE OF SAMAR, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE TARANGNAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

SECTION 1. The Tarangnan Municipal High School in the Municipality of Tarangnan, Province of Samar, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as Tarangnan National High School. casia

SECTION 2. The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports is hereby empowered to take steps as are necessary for the conversion, operation and immediate implementation of this Act.

SECTION 3. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports intended for new national high schools and an additional amount corresponding to fifty percent of its share in the budgetary aid actually paid to it before such conversion shall be released for its operation from the national assistance fund to local schools. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
