Conversion of San Jose High School in Camarines Sur into San Jose Polytechnic Institute
Republic Act No. 7972, enacted on March 30, 1995, converts the San Jose High School in Camarines Sur into the San Jose Polytechnic Institute, under the supervision of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The newly established institute will offer not only secondary education but also post-secondary programs and short-term technical and vocational courses, following CHED policies. Funding for the conversion will be drawn from the existing budget of the high school, with future operational costs included in the annual General Appropriations Act. The law took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on July 17, 1995.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7972
AN ACT CONVERTING THE SAN JOSE HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN JOSE, PROVINCE OF CAMARINES SUR, INTO A POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE, TO BE KNOWN AS THE SAN JOSE POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The San Jose High School in the Municipality of San Jose, Province of Camarines Sur, shall be converted into a polytechnic institute, under the supervision of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), to be known as the San Jose Polytechnic Institute, hereinafter referred to as the Institute.
SECTION 2. The Institute, in addition to its secondary offerings, shall offer post-secondary programs as well as short-term technical and vocational courses, subject to the policies of the CHED. cd
SECTION 3. The amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriation of the San Jose High School. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
