REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7874

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE CONVERSION OF THE SAN ENRIQUE BARANGAY GARITA BAYANIHAN HIGH SCHOOL INTO AN EXTENSION HIGH SCHOOL OF THE SAN ENRIQUE POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE TO BE KNOWN AS THE "SAN ENRIQUE POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE DOMINADOR ABANG MEMORIAL EXTENSION HIGH SCHOOL" IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN ENRIQUE, PROVINCE OF ILOILO, APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

SECTION 1. The San Enrique Barangay Garita Bayanihan High School in the Municipality of San Enrique, Province of Iloilo, is hereby converted into an extension high school of the San Enrique Polytechnic College to be known as the "San Enrique Polytechnic College Dominador Abang Memorial Extension High School." acd

SECTION 2. The high school department shall retain the curriculum, functions and duties of the Barangay Garita Bayanihan High School.

SECTION 3. All assets, whether fixed or movable, records and personnel, obligations and appropriations of the Barangay Garita Bayanihan High School are hereby transferred to the San Enrique Polytechnic College Dominador Abang Memorial Extension High School: Provided, however, That the positions, rights and security of tenure of the personnel therein employed prior to the conversion shall not be impaired.

SECTION 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SECTION 5. The Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports is hereby directed to take such steps as may be necessary for the completion and operation of the high school.

SECTION 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
