Batas Pambansa Blg. 520, enacted on June 10, 1983, converts the Mactan Barangay High School in Lapu-Lapu City into a national high school, now called Mactan National High School. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports is tasked with overseeing the conversion and operation of the new school. Funding for the current fiscal year will come from local resources and national aid, with future financial needs to be addressed in upcoming General Appropriations Acts. The law takes effect upon approval and was officially published on April 23, 1984.

BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 520

AN ACT CONVERTING THE MACTAN BARANGAY HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY MACTAN, LAPU-LAPU CITY, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE MACTAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The Mactan Barangay High School in Barangay Mactan, Lapu-lapu City, is converted into a national high school to be known as the Mactan National High School. casia

SECTION 2. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports is directed to take such steps as are necessary for the conversion and operation of the school and immediate implementation of this Act.

SECTION 3. The operation of said school for the current fiscal year shall continue to be funded out of local funds and from its share of national aid to local schools. The requirements for succeeding fiscal years shall be provided in the forthcoming General Appropriations Acts. casia

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
