Republic Act No. 8263, enacted on February 16, 1997, converts Kimanait High School in Barangay Kimanait, Pangantucan, Bukidnon, into a national high school, officially named Kimanait National High School. The Act mandates the transfer of all personnel, assets, liabilities, and records from the original high school to the newly established national institution. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports is tasked with issuing necessary regulations to implement the Act. Funding for this conversion will be included in the General Appropriations Act for the subsequent year and thereafter. The law took effect immediately upon approval, having lapsed into law without the President's signature.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE KIMANAIT HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY KIMANAIT, MUNICIPALITY OF PANGANTUCAN, PROVINCE OF BUKIDNON, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE KIMANAIT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Kimanait High School in Barangay Kimanait, Municipality of Pangantucan, Province of Bukidnon, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Kimanait National High School.
SECTION 2. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.
SECTION 3. All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Kimanait High School are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Kimanait National High School. cdt
SECTION 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
