Conversion of Gubat Municipal High School in Gubat, Sorsogon Into a National High School
Batas Pambansa Blg. 163, enacted on February 8, 1982, converts the Gubat Municipal High School in Sorsogon into the Gubat National High School, which will offer a comprehensive curriculum including technical and vocational courses. The Minister of Education and Culture is tasked with organizing the new school and overseeing the transfer of assets and personnel from the municipal high school. An initial allocation of two hundred thousand pesos is provided for the school's operation, with ongoing funding to be included in future annual appropriations. The law is effective upon approval.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE GUBAT MUNICIPAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF GUBAT, PROVINCE OF SORSOGON, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE GUBAT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
SECTION 1. The Gubat Municipal High School in the Municipality of Gubat, Province of Sorsogon, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Gubat National High School. Said school shall offer a comprehensive curriculum which will include both technical and vocational courses. The Minister of Education and Culture is hereby empowered to organize said school accordingly. asia dc
Upon the organization of the Gubat National High School, the assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of the Gubat Municipal High School shall be transferred to the Gubat National High School.
SECTION 2. The Minister of Education and Culture shall implement the provisions of this Act so as to make the Gubat National High School in operation on the first school term after the effectivity of this Act.
SECTION 3. The amount of two hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be charged to the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 80 and Batas Pambansa Blg. 131 for the Ministry of Education and Culture intended for new national schools: Provided, That the local government unit concerned shall continue to provide its share in the cost of operating and maintaining said school. Starting Calendar Year 1983 such sum as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the school shall be provided in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its approval.
