Batas Pambansa Blg. 738, enacted on April 13, 1984, converts specific provincial roads in Davao del Sur—namely the Pangian-Penalpalan-Alabel Road, the Ticulon-Little Baguio-Malapatan Road, and the Jose Abad Santos-Glan Road—into national roads. The Act stipulates that the necessary funding for the improvement and maintenance of these roads will be sourced from the existing lump sum appropriation designated for local roads until future appropriations provide for their maintenance. AN ACT CONVERTING CERTAIN PROVINCIAL ROADS IN THE PROVINCE OF DAVAO DEL SUR INTO NATIONAL ROADS
SECTION 1. The Pangian-Penalpalan-Alabel Road, the Ticulon-Little Baguio-Malapatan Road, and the Jose Abad Santos-Glan Road, all provincial roads in the Province of Davao del Sur, are converted into national roads.
SECTION 2. The amount necessary for the improvement and maintenance of said roads shall continue to be funded out of the lump sum appropriation authorized under Batas Pambansa Blg. 640 for the repair and maintenance of local roads until such time that the maintenance funds for said roads shall have been provided for in the succeeding appropriations acts. cd i
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
