Conversion of Branch of Lapak Agricultural High School in Tawi-Tawi, Sulu into Sulu National Regional Agricultural School

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3638

AN ACT CONVERTING THE BRANCH OF THE LAPAK AGRICULTURAL HIGH SCHOOL LOCATED AT TARAWAKAN IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BUNGAO, ISLAND OF TAWI-TAWI, PROVINCE OF SULU, INTO THE SULU NATIONAL REGIONAL AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The branch of the Lapak Agricultural High School at Tarawakan in the Municipality of Bungao, Island of Tawi-Tawi, Province of Sulu, is hereby converted into a national regional agricultural school to be known as the Sulu National Regional Agricultural School.

SECTION 2. The Sulu National Regional Agricultural School shall be headed by a Superintendent of Agricultural Instruction and shall be under the direct supervision of the Bureau of Public Schools. The Secretary of Education is hereby authorized to organize the said school within sixty days after approval of this Act.

SECTION 3. Upon organization of the Sulu National Regional Agricultural School, the assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment, and records of the Tarawakan branch of the Lapak Agricultural High School stand transferred to the Sulu National Regional Agricultural School.

SECTION 4. The sum of three hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated for the operation and maintenance of the said school for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-four. Thereafter, the necessary funds for the operation and maintenance of the said school shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts. aisa dc

SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
