Batas Pambansa Blg. 450, enacted on June 10, 1983, converts the Begang Barangay High School in Isabela, Basilan, into a national high school, officially named Begang National High School. The law allocates an initial funding of one hundred thousand pesos from the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports for its operation, along with additional financial support based on its previous budgetary aid. Future operational and maintenance costs are to be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. The Act took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on April 2, 1984.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE BEGANG BARANGAY HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ISABELA, PROVINCE OF BASILAN, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE BEGANG NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Begang Barangay High School in the Municipality of Isabela, Province of Basilan, is converted into a national high school to be known as the Begang National High School.
SECTION 2. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Bilang 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports intended for new national high schools and an additional amount corresponding to fifty percent of its share in the budgetary aid actually paid to it before such conversion shall be released for its operation from the national assistance fund to local schools. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. cdt
