Conversion of Batan Municipal High School in Batan, Aklan Into a National School

AN ACT CONVERTING THE BATAN MUNICIPAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BATAN, PROVINCE OF AKLAN, INTO A NATIONAL SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE BATAN NATIONAL SCHOOL

SECTION 1. The Batan Municipal High School in the Municipality of Batan, Province of Aklan, is hereby converted into a national school to be known as the Batan National School. Said school shall offer a comprehensive curriculum which includes both academic and vocational courses. The Minister of Education is hereby empowered to organize said school accordingly.

Upon the organization of the Batan National School, the assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of the Batan Municipal High School shall be transferred to the Batan National School. asia dc

SECTION 2. The Minister of Education and Culture shall implement the provisions of this Act so as to make the Batan National School in operation on the first school term after the effectivity of this Act.

SECTION 3. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 131 for the Ministry of Education and Culture intended for new national schools. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
