Conversion of Altavas High School in Aklan into Altavas National School

Republic Act No. 3916, enacted on June 18, 1964, converts Altavas High School in Aklan into a national institution named Altavas National School, which will offer both general and vocational courses. The Secretary of Education is authorized to reorganize the school accordingly. An initial appropriation of 200,000 pesos from the National Treasury is allocated for its establishment, with subsequent funding to be included in future annual budgets. The law took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette later that year.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3916

AN ACT CONVERTING ALTAVAS HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ALTAVAS, PROVINCE OF AKLAN, INTO A NATIONAL SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS ALTAVAS NATIONAL SCHOOL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. The Altavas High School in the Municipality of Altavas, Province of Aklan, is hereby converted into a national school to be known as Altavas National School. General as well as vocational courses shall be offered in said school.

SECTION 2. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to reorganize said school accordingly. cdt

SECTION 3. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry out the purpose of this Act during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-five. Thereafter, such sums as may be needed for its operation shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
