LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 906

To afford the country with maximum safety against the dangers of a possible nuclear contamination, there is a necessity to conduct a formal inquiry and/or investigation into the dangers, if any, that may arise from the existence and operation of the proposed nuclear plant in the country. To this end a Nuclear Power Plant Commission was constituted under Executive Order No. 539 to conduct said inquiry. It is estimated that P215,000 would be required to support the operations of said commission. acd
In view thereof, the Treasurer of the Philippines is hereby directed to release to the Ministry of Energy P215,000 out of the Special Fund created pursuant to Section 8(j) of R.A. 6173 as amended to cover the foregoing expenses. acd
The Ministry of Energy shall submit a report to the President accounting for the disbursement and utilization of the foregoing funds.
This Letter of Instructions shall take effect immediately.
