Change of Name of Rizal City to Pasay City
Republic Act No. 437, enacted on June 7, 1950, officially changes the name of Rizal City to Pasay City. The act stipulates that any references to "Rizal City" in existing legislation will now be interpreted as "Pasay City." The law takes effect immediately upon its approval. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 437
AN ACT CHANGING THE NAME OF RIZAL CITY TO PASAY CITY
SECTION 1. The name of Rizal City created by Republic Act Numbered One hundred and eighty-three is hereby changed to Pasay City.
SECTION 2. Whenever the words "Rizal City" appear in Republic Act Numbered One hundred eighty-three, and other acts or part of acts, the said words shall be understood to mean or to refer to Pasay City. acd
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
