Batas Pambansa Blg. 381, enacted on April 8, 1983, officially changes the name of the Municipality of Ponot in Zamboanga del Norte to Jose Dalman. The law stipulates that the name change takes effect immediately upon approval. It was published in the Official Gazette on March 5, 1984.

AN ACT CHANGING THE NAME OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF PONOT IN ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE TO JOSE DALMAN
SECTION 1. The name of the Municipality of Ponot in the Province of Zamboanga del Norte is hereby changed to Jose Dalman. casia
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
