Change of Name of Barrio Talipapa in Quezon City to Tandang Sora
Republic Act No. 727, enacted on June 6, 1952, officially changes the name of the barrio of Talipapa in Quezon City to Tandang Sora. This change is made to honor the memory of Tandang Sora, recognized as one of the most courageous and patriotic women in Philippine history. The Act takes effect immediately upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette in July 1952.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 727
AN ACT CHANGING THE NAME OF THE BARRIO OF TALIPAPA IN QUEZON CITY TO TANDANG SORA
SECTION 1. In honor of the memory of one of the most courageous, heroic and patriotic women in Philippine history, the name of the barrio of Talipapa in Quezon City is hereby changed to Tandang Sora.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
