Authorizing the Release to each of the Personnel of the Supreme Court and the Lower Courts of the P1,500 — Portion of the Extra Cash Gift under Administrative Order No. 254 of the President

SUPREME COURT MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 52-03

AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE TO EACH OF THE PERSONNEL OF THE SUPREME COURT AND THE LOWER COURTS OF THE P1,500 — PORTION OF THE EXTRA CASH GIFT UNDER ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 254 OF THE PRESIDENT

WHEREAS, in recognition of the contribution of government personnel in providing quality service to the people and in the spirit of the Christmas holiday, her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo issued Administrative Order No. 254 on 5 December, 2003 ordering the grant of P5,000 each as extra cash gift to all government personnel who have rendered at least a total of four months of government service during the year and still in service as of 31 October 2003;

WHEREAS, the Administrative Order also provides that those who have rendered less than four months of service are entitled to receive a certain percentage of the P5,000 extra cash gift, thus:

Length of Service	Percentage
3 months but less than 4 months	40%
2 months but less than 3 months	30%
1 month but less than 2 months	20%
Less than 1 month	10%

 

WHEREAS, the funding sources of the P5,000 extra cash gift for each government personnel are (1) additional allotment and cash allocation from the Department of Budget and Management to cover the P3,500; and (2) savings in allotment and cash allocation for additional extra cash gift of the government agency concerned to cover the P1,500; CTEaDc

WHEREAS, the Fiscal Management and Budget Office of the Supreme Court has reported that there are enough savings from both the Supreme Court's and lower courts' budget or in the Fiscal Autonomy Account against which the aforesaid P1,500 may be charged.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Chief Justice hereby authorizes the grant and release of P1,500, as part of the P5,000 extra cash gift under Administrative Order No. 254, to each of the personnel of the Supreme Court and the lower courts, including the Shari'a District Courts and the Shari'a Circuit Courts. This amount shall be charged against the respective savings of the Supreme Court and the lower courts or against their respective shares in the Fiscal Autonomy Account.

The amount herein granted may be simultaneously released with that portion of the extra cash gift under Administrative Order No. 254 which the Department of Budget and Management shall release.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately and shall forthwith be implemented by the Fiscal Management and Budget Office of the Supreme Court and the Financial Management Office of the Office of the Court Administrator, which are hereby authorized to avail themselves of the assistance of other offices of the Court and the Office of the Court Administrator. cTECIA
