SUPREME COURT MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 33-04
AUTHORIZING THE CONDUCT OF VALIDATION WORKSHOP ON THE INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING OF THE SHARI'A JUSTICE SYSTEM PROJECT AND THE PARTICIPATION OF SELECTED SUPREME COURT OFFICIALS AND STAFF, AND SHARI'A COURT JUDGES AND CLERKS OF COURTS
WHEREAS, the Shari'a Courts are part of the Philippine judicial system, having been instituted for the effective administration and enforcement of Muslim personal laws;
WHEREAS, strengthening of the capacity of the Shari'a Justice System to address the requirements for effective administration and dispensation of justice within the context of development, peace efforts, indigenous governance, human rights and gender sensitivity is imperative to make judicial reform truly responsive to the needs of Filipino women and men especially in Mindanao;
WHEREAS, the project entitled "Institutional Strengthening of the Shari'a Justice System" is being implemented by the Supreme Court through the Office of the Court Administrator with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Court hereby authorizes the conduct of National Validation Workshop with selected Supreme Court officials and staff, Shari'a Court Judges, and Clerks of Courts.
The Validation Workshop will be held on 29 June 2004 at the SC-Training Center, G/F Centennial Building.
The following selected Supreme Court officials and staff, and Shari'a Court Judges and Clerks of Courts are hereby authorized to attend and participate in the above-mentioned activities:
