COMMONWEALTH ACT NO. 172
AN ACT AUTHORIZING PUBLIC DEFENDERS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND ANY AGENT OF THE BUREAU OF LABOR THEREUNTO ESPECIALLY DEPUTED BY THE SECRETARY OF LABOR, THE UNDERSECRETARY OR DIRECTOR OF LABOR, TO ADMINISTER OATHS, ISSUE SUBPOENAS AND TAKE TESTIMONY
SECTION 1. Public defenders of the Department of Labor and any agent of the Bureau of Labor thereunto especially deputed by the Secretary of Labor, the Undersecretary, or the Director of Labor, shall have authority to administer oaths, issue subpoenas, and take testimony in connection with any case coming within the scope of their official functions.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
