Authority of Cellophil Resources Corporation to Export Logs
Letter of Instructions No. 1194, issued on February 10, 1982, by President Ferdinand E. Marcos, emphasizes the Philippine government's commitment to supporting pioneer industries and assisting distressed sectors for national economic development. To aid in its recovery and prevent job losses, the order permits Cellophil to export up to 100,000 cubic meters of certain timber species annually for three years, despite existing regulations to the contrary. This measure aims to ensure the corporation's viability and protect the government's financial interests.
