August 15, 2008 as Special (Non-Working) Day in Tuguegarao City
Proclamation No. 1574, issued on August 2, 2008, declares Friday, August 15, 2008, as a special (non-working) day in the City of Tuguegarao. This designation allows residents to celebrate the "Pavvurulun Festival 2008," which takes place on August 16, a Saturday. The decision was made at the request of the 4th City Council to provide the community with the opportunity for appropriate festivities. The proclamation was signed by Executive Secretary Eduardo R. Ermita under the authority of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

DECLARING FRIDAY, AUGUST 15, 2008, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF TUGUEGARAO
WHEREAS, the City of Tuguegarao marks the patronal feast dubbed as "Pavvurulun Festival 2008" on August 16, 2008;
WHEREAS, to enable the people of the City of Tuguegarao celebrate the occasion, the 4th City Council requested that Friday, August 15, 2008 be declared as special (non-working) day instead of August 16, 2008, which falls on a Saturday; CTHDcS
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Tuguegarao, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Friday, August 15, 2008, as special (non-working) day in the City of Tuguegarao.
